Pacific City Bank hit by AVOS Locker Ransomware

Pacific City Bank was hit by AVOS Locker Ransomware operators, the gang claims to have stolen sensitive file from the company and threatens to leak it.

Pacific City Bank is an American community bank that focuses on the Korean-American community based in California and offers commercial banking services

The bank was hit by AVOS Locker Ransomware operators who claim to have stolen sensitive documents from the financial institution.

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, the ransomware gang added the bank to its leak site and published some screenshots as proof of the hack.

The cybercriminals defined the security implemented by the bank terrible.

“Pacific City Bank provides outstanding banking and financial services for businesses and consumers. (but they have horrible security)” reads the message published on the leak site. “If they refuse to negotiate, we will leak all the data we’ve got. Attached are some of the documents that were exfiltrated.”

The ransomware gang published a ZIP archive named proof that contains a series of documents allegedly stolen from the bank.
