Stormous ransomware gang claims to have hacked Coca-Cola

The Stormous ransomware gang claims to have hacked the multinational beverage corporation Coca-Cola Company.

The Stormous ransomware gang announced with a post on its leak site to have hacked the multinational beverage corporation Coca-Cola Company. The extortion group announced to have hacked some servers of the company and stole 161GB.

The group recently launched a poll asking members of its Telegram channel to choose the next company to target and Coca-Cola was the most voted firm.

Since it was a vote on giant beverage company ( Coca-Cola ) ! we hacked some of their servers and went over (161G) ! But the situation is not always as we want to sell it by any other ways we have opened our store on our own website in the dark web ! This company was the first victim. Browse a little on our site If you want to buy you can contact us and we will provide you some required data as initial proof! Then you can pay or buy depending on the amount of data you want ! Warning : It will only be a way to sell data to some big companies but for other companies we will leak their data like we always did !! Browse our site ! : http://XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.onion/datashop.html” reads the announcement of the group.

It seems that the cybercrime gang has requested the payment of US$ 64,396.67 (1.6467000 Bitcoin), which represents a very low ransom for big companies like Coca-Cola.

“The material was announced in 13 files, in a volume that totals close to 161GB according to data reported by the gang and the requested value is US$ 64,396.67 or 1.6467000 Bitcoin.” reported CisoAdvisor.

Stormous made the headlines after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the gang, like Conti ransomware group, announced their support for Moscow.

At the time of this writing, the Tor leak site of the group is not reacheable.
