LockBit 3.0 gang claims to have stolen data from Thales

The ransomware group LockBit 3.0 claimed to have stolen data from the French defence and technology group Thales.

French defence and technology group Thales confirmed to be aware that the ransomware group LockBit 3.0 claimed to have stolen some of its data.

Thales was added to the list of victims of the Lockbit 3.0 group on October 31, the gang is threatening to publish stolen data by November 7, 2022, if the company will not pay the ransom. At this time, the ransomware gang has yet to publish any sample of the alleged stolen data.

Thales told Reuters that it had not received any direct ransom notification.

The company added that it has launched an investigation into the alleged security breach, it also notified the French ANSSI national cyber security agency.

A company spokesman said that the company has not filed a complaint with the police.
