Shodan, the popular IoT search engine, announced this week the launch of a new service called Monitor designed to help organizations to maintain track of systems connected to the Internet.
Shodan Monitor is a precious tool for organizations that can determine their surface of attack assessing their Internet-exposed systems. The new feature allows users to launch scans and receive real-time notifications every time a new device is detected.
“Keep track of the devices that you have exposed to the Internet. Setup notifications, launch scans and gain complete visibility into what you have connected.” reads the description of the service.
Shodan is a powerful tool used by security experts to discover the resources exposed online and potentially open to cyber attacks.
Shodan could be integrated with various tools, including Nmap, Metasploit, Maltego, and FOCA.
Shodan pointed out that the new service is highly scalable, organizations could monitor up to millions of IP addresses.
“The Shodan platform was built to handle networks of all sizes without breaking a sweat,” Shodan says.
“Whether you want to monitor 1 IP or you’re an ISP with millions of customers – the Shodan platform was built to handle networks of all sizes without breaking a sweat.”
The Shodan allows users to monitor not just their own network but also find their devices across the Internet.
“Detect data leaks to the cloud, phishing websites, compromised databases and more. Shodan gives you the tools to monitor all your connected devices on the Internet. ” continues the company.
Shodan Monitor is free for existing customers, the service is also reachable via the Shodan API and the command-line interface.
Enjoy it!
