Adobe announces the end of support for Acrobat 2015 and Reader 2015

It’s official, Adobe announces the end of support for Adobe Acrobat and Reader 2015.

It’s official, Adobe announces the end of support for Adobe Acrobat and Reader 2015, the company will no longer receive any security updates after the deadline.

Adobe plans to stop the support on April 7, 2020, users may continue to use the two application, but they will no longer receive any updates or bug fixes.

“End of support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support, including product and/or security updates, for all derivatives of a product or product version (e.g., localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).” reads the analysis published Adobe.

The company strongly recommends its customers update to the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

In the last years, many times threat actors exploited vulnerabilities in Adobe software, including Flash, Reader, and Acrobat, and the company always released security fixes to address them. When the products will reach the end-of-support their users will remain exposed to cyber threats leveraging flaws in the popular applications.

Organizations will need to negotiate extended support in order to have more time to upgrade their systems.
