Drupal developers have released versions 7.69, 8.7.11 and 8.8.1, which address several vulnerabilities, including a serious file processing issue.
The most serious issue is related to the Archive_Tar third-party library, it has been assigned a severity rating of critical. Archive_Tar is a tool designed for handling TAR archive files in PHP. The issue affects Drupal 7x, 8.7.x and 8.8.x versions.

The vulnerability has been reported by Jasper Mattsson from the Drupal team.
Drupal CMS uses Archive_Tar, experts pointed out that some configurations are exposed to attacks, websites configured to allow the uploading of TAR, TAR.GZ, BZ2 or TLZ files are at risk.
