Systems at the action sports company Boardriders was hit by a ransomware attack, the incident also impacted some of its subsidiaries, including
Boardriders is currently present in over 110 countries, its subsidiaries are Quiksilver, Billabong, ROXY, RVCA, DC Shoes, and Element.
Immediately after the attack, the e-commerce websites of the company displayed messages offering customers 20% off promotions and informing its customers of shipping delays.
“Boardriders got hit with a computer systems attack that led to slower shipments in several parts of the world.” reads the website shop-eat-surf.com. “The attack happened about two weeks ago, and required the company to shut down its systems and move to back up technical structures.”
According to a statement from the company, it has been working to restore ordinary operations.
